About
I began making soap in 1994 after receiving a gift of home made soaps. They didn’t dry or irritate my skin or sinuses, had recognizable fresh cucumber, and silky lather. When the soap ran out, demand dictated that more be made, so I began the process of learning to make my own soap. Many trial batches were made from a variety of ingredients. Soap making books became my bedtime reading. Books on herbal healing and aromatherapy covered my table. Weird oils invaded my kitchen. Soon I found a recipe I liked and things progressed rapidly from there! I began selling my products at the local Quesnel Farmer's Market in 1995 with six types of soap. I started growing flowers in my garden to be used in my soaps. Soap led to bath salts which led to hand salves which led to more soap. The possibilities for creation are endless!
It's now a few years and a much wider variety of products later. The reading and learning hasn’t stopped. The thrill and satisfaction of blending science and art to create something good for the body and nurturing for the soul never ends!
